Das Konzept  „Geruch des Lebens“ verwebt Bilder unterschiedlicher Erzählungen zu einer Geschichte. Die Gemälde zeigen bekanntes und ungesehenes, schönes und unangenehmes, vergangenes und mögliches. Diese Herangehensweise will populistischen Stimmen etwas entgegensetzen. „Geruch des Lebens“ will die Schönheit einer integrativen Komplexität visuell erfahrbar machen. 

The “Smell of Life” concept interweaves images from different narratives to create a story. The paintings show the known and the unseen, the beautiful and the unpleasant, the past and the possible. This approach aims to counter populist voices. “Smell of Life” aims to make the beauty of integrative complexity visually tangible.

Der Geruchssinn ist bei vielen Menschen eng mit Erinnerungen und Emotionen verbunden. Das Konzept verbindet unterschiedliche Erzählstränge zu einer Geschichte. Die Erzählungen können jede für sich betrachtet werden. Jedoch erst durch das Verbinden der einzelnen Bestandteile ergibt sich ein vollständiges Bild. Die Phantasie eines Betrachters ist aufgefordert diese Verbindungen individuell zu formulieren.
